Like with cases, once you save excerpts of legislation through the browser extension, you will be able to view and cite them in Word. The main difference between case text and legislation text is that only the specific excerpts you have saved will be displayed in the CiteRight Next side panel. Hover over the excerpt to add it, or simply click "Edit" and type it in yourself!
Method 1: Hover over excerpt and click "Add pinpoint".
Method 2: Click "Edit" then type the excerpt number.
Ibids, supras, modifications, and most other features work just the same as when citing and editing cases. However, once you reach the TOA, BOA, and Schedule B stages of your work, you will notice slight differences.
- Legislation can be included in your TOA as a separate section. Learn more about the TOA.
- Legislation cannot be included in your BOA - it will not show up as an option to include or exclude. This is because it has a separate Schedule B. Learn more about the BOA.
- The "Compile" button, next to TOA and BOA, is dedicated to generating a Schedule B, complete with your saved excerpts.
